About us

Stamps Plus is recognised as being a leading innovator in the field of producing high-quality, competitively priced, marking and branding products. We always strive to impress our customers to a level where they would readily impress others regarding our products and services.

Stamps Plus was formed after the purchase of a stamp-making and name badge manufacturing business in Taharoto Road, Takapuna in January 2011. That business had been operational for 12 years, so along with Stamp Plus, the collective experience of this business spans over 25 years.

Proudly New Zealand-owned and operated, Stamps Plus is also a government-approved provider, strategically and logistically positioned to serve and supply local, Australasian and world markets in the field of marking and branding products.

Regulatory controls

As there are no regulatory bodies or specific procedures in New Zealand for those in the marking and identification manufacturing space, we at Stamps Plus have taken the vigilant step of ‘self-regulating’. We are members of IMIA (International Marking and Identification Association) and have robust, secure processes and procedures for members of official bodies, local government institutions, sovereign entities and the Crown. Our factory has been visited and examined by executive members of various associations and institutions we deal with and is open to any other such officials who might wish to underpin their confidence in dealing with Stamps Plus.

Stamps Plus therefore enjoys being the preferred manufacturer and supplier of high-quality rubber stamps, embossing products, wax seal products, wood engraved products, name badges, pet plaques and corporate and branding products.

Sustainability / kaitiakitanga credentials

As a responsible member of both the business community and our blue planet, we embrace an ethos of environmental and social sustainability. We voluntarily strive to meet higher standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency in our efforts to be more sustainable. Being a New Zealand-based small business, we proudly relate to the noun “kaitiaki” which is a New Zealand Māori term used for the concept of guardianship for the sky, the sea, and the land. The actual process and practices of protecting and looking after the environment are referred to as ‘kaitiakitanga’.

The metal and wooden raw materials we use in some of our custom-made products are from sustainable product suppliers. Some of our rubber stamp products are made with plastic materials which are branded ‘Shiny’ and ‘Trodat’ respectively.

The manufacturers of ‘Shiny’ products are certified “PET 100%” where they certify that the PET material is 100% recycled from water bottles. The Shiny brand manufacturers’ efforts have been recognised with the company’s receipt of the ISO 14001:2004 Standard certification in October 2009.

The manufacturers of the ‘Trodat’ brand certify that 70 to 75% of one of their product lines is ‘climate-neutral’ where they append the ‘Eco mark’ onto qualifying products.

Stamps Plus reaches even further in our efforts by ensuring our own workers receive a livable wage and where we refuse to trade with countries that do not have acceptable human rights.
